A heartfelt congratulations to Carol and Cormac on their promotions!

She has a wide range of practical, analytical and management skills developed through involvement with numerous projects. She is the technical lead on numerous projects considering the impact of renewable energy developments on marine mammals.

Dr Cormac Booth – Principal Scientist and Director of Business Development, SMRU Consulting Europe

Cormac will act as deputy Technical Director for Carol and in his new role Cormac will provide a focus for the Europe team on promoting our services and generating new business.

Cormac is the lead scientist and project manager for multiple projects involving investigating the potential impacts of marine renewable energy development on marine mammal species (and PCOD). He provides specialist advice on Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM), statistical modelling, analysis into EIA’s (noise and marine mammals) and provides advice for mitigation studies relating to impacts on cetaceans.

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye and good luck to Dr Claire Eatock (previous Operations Manager) and Celeste Ferguson (previous Business Development Coordinator). They have both been instrumental in bringing together the SMRU Consulting companies and driving development over the last couple of years. We thank them for all their hard work and wish them all the best for the future.
