Kat holds a BSc in Environmental Protection and Management from the University of Technology in Gdansk, Poland and an MSc in Marine Biodiversity from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland. Her past scientific research has combined alternative approaches to studying marine environment (drone surveys, drop-down video, diving) as well as reviews of the changing nature of coastal habitats for UK shores.

Kat is a qualified MMO and has been working in the field of marine mammal science and consultancy since 2020. During her career in consultancy, she was involved in a variety of projects across industries and sectors including offshore renewables, nuclear, oil and gas and coastal defences. Kat specialises in marine mammal impact assessment and prepared technical baseline characterisation, EIA and HRA reports as well as MMMPs for several projects. Her confidence in working closely with diverse industry stakeholders allows her to identify and synthesise multi-stakeholder voices and design solutions to move towards collectively positive outcomes.
